Every week there are chances to play with groups and ensembles in a number of regional centres and this gives pupils a chance to experience paying their instrument with other players and also gives them a chance to meet and make new friends.
We also, thanks to funding from the Department of Education, arrange for world-class orchestras to play for and perform with our pupils. For example, The Hallé Orchestra’s ‘Come and Play’ event attracts pupils from all over the region. Another of our partners, Manchester Camerata, come and deliver an annual creative composition project which involves schools from right across the partnership in training, creative composition and joint performance.
